AB 1575 (Lara) – This measure would prohibit charging fees for extracurricular or educational activities.

SB 1087 (Walters) – This measure, in part, would expand ASES exemptions from child care licensing requirements from programs operating up to 30 hours per week to those operating up to 60 hours per week, provided no single student attends more than 30 hours.

SB 1385 (Hancock) – This measure would incorporate after-school staff into the paraprofessional teacher-training pipeline.  Funding would come through ASES technical assistance funds.

SB 1404 (Hancock) – This measure would allow school districts to increase the fees they can charge non-profit organizations such as the YMCA, Girl Scouts, Camp Fire, Inc. and others, for using school facilities, by changing the definition of "direct costs" to include a share of repair and refurbishment of school facilities or grounds and other expenses not currently included in that definition.
